About the bootcamp

Education meets real engineering.

Future Coders is an 8-week, hands-on program designed for students who've never written a line of code — and want to leave shipping their first real app.

Learn by doing

No endless lectures. Every week you ship something real — a working page, a mini-app, a small project to add to your portfolio.

Mentors who care

Small cohorts, real feedback. Our instructors are working developers who remember what it's like to start.

More than code

Problem-solving, teamwork, code reviews, demoing your work — the skills that actually get you hired.

Tech stack

What you'll work with

A modern, industry-relevant stack. Same tools real engineers use every day.

Curriculum

Your 8-week journey, week by week

From "what's a variable?" to deploying a real Python web app. Project-based, paced for absolute beginners.

Week 1

Web Fundamentals Revision

Refresher

Get everyone on the same page. HTML, CSS, and a sprinkle of JavaScript.

  • HTML5 structure & semantic tags
  • CSS layout: Flexbox & Grid
  • Responsive design with media queries
  • JavaScript basics: variables, functions, the DOM
  • Project: A personal landing page
Week 2

Python Fundamentals

Python

Your first lines of Python — variables, types, control flow, and small scripts.

  • Why Python? Setting up your environment
  • Variables, types, operators, input/output
  • Conditionals, loops, functions
  • Lists, dictionaries, sets, tuples
  • Project: Build a CLI calculator + quiz game
Week 3

Python — going deeper

Python

Write code like a real engineer: modules, errors, files, and basic OOP.

  • Functions in depth, scope, lambdas
  • Modules and packages
  • Error handling (try / except)
  • Reading & writing files
  • Intro to Object-Oriented Programming
Week 4

Intro to Flask

Flask

Your first Flask web app — routing, templates, and serving real pages.

  • What is a web framework? HTTP basics
  • Setting up Flask + virtualenv
  • Routes, templates with Jinja2
  • Static files, forms, request handling
  • Project: A Flask "thoughts of the day" app
Week 5

Flask + Databases

Flask

Save data that survives a restart. SQLAlchemy and full CRUD.

  • Databases 101 (SQL vs NoSQL)
  • SQLAlchemy models & migrations
  • Create, Read, Update, Delete
  • Building forms with Flask-WTF
  • Project: A task / blog manager
Week 6

Auth, APIs & Beyond

Flask

Login systems, REST endpoints, and consuming third-party APIs.

  • Sessions and authentication
  • Building a REST API in Flask
  • Working with JSON & requests
  • Consuming external APIs
  • Project: A mini social app or API
Week 7

Team Project + Deployment

Workshop

Group up, build together, ship to the internet.

  • Git & GitHub workflows for teams
  • Pair programming + code review
  • Deploying Flask apps (Render / Railway)
  • Mini-hackathon weekend
  • Project: A team-built web app
Week 8

Final Project + Career

Showcase

Polish your portfolio, present your work, and figure out what comes next.

  • Final individual project
  • Code reviews & feedback
  • Tech CV, GitHub, freelancing 101
  • Demo day & certificate ceremony
  • Where to go from here
Who's it for

You don't need experience. Just curiosity.

High School Students

Lower & Upper Sixth, or anyone curious about tech. Get a head start, build cool stuff, and figure out if engineering is for you — before university.

  • No coding experience required
  • Learn alongside peers your age
  • Boost your university application

Level 1 University Students

Computer Science, Engineering, or any field — if you want practical skills that complement what you're learning in lectures, this is for you.

  • Real industry-relevant tools
  • Portfolio projects to showcase
  • A path to internships

FAQ

Common questions

Do I need any prior coding experience? +
No. Week 1 is a gentle revision of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript so everyone is on the same page. From Week 2 we start Python from scratch — variables, types, all of it. If you've never written a line of code before, you're exactly who this bootcamp is for.
How much does it cost? +
Tuition for the full 8-week program is 20,000 FCFA, paid once. That covers all course materials, mentor time, project resources, and your certificate at the end.
Why Python and Flask? +
Python is one of the most readable beginner-friendly languages in the world, and it's used everywhere — web, data science, automation, AI. Flask is a small, elegant Python web framework — the perfect tool to learn how the web works without getting lost in complexity.
What do I need to bring? +
Ideally a laptop, but if you don't have one we'll work it out — just say so on the application form. Bring your curiosity and a willingness to be stuck (and unstuck) over and over.
What is the schedule? +
Mon – Fri · 9 AM – 3 PM, on-site at IUGET Bonabéri, Douala — Cameroon.
Will I get a certificate? +
Yes. Students who complete the program and ship their final project receive a CodingHQ certificate of completion — plus, more importantly, a portfolio of real projects.
When does the next cohort start? +
Cohort 2026 starts July 6, 2026 and runs for 8 weeks.
